Biography: Peter Ibbotson - Chief Executive Officer
Peter was educated at the University of the Witwatersrand, where he qualified with a B.Com and then a CA (SA). He served in a wide variety of management positions in various industries during a career that lasted 25 years with Barlow Rand Limited. Amongst others, he was the Chief Executive of a quoted computer group, Chairman of a quoted engineering supply group and Managing Director of a heavy engineering company.

 

 

 

Biography: Sharon Tayfield - bachelor of Commerce, HDE (post graduate), Advanced Diploma in property practice (post graduate), Higher Diploma in Financial Markets and Instruments (post graduate), CFA (SA)
Sharon Tayfield, Operations Director at Praxima Africa Payroll Systems (Pty) Ltd has gained considerable experience in the field of training, tax issues and financial/ICT management, including mergers and acquisitions. Starting her career in the field of education, Tayfield progressed to a training position within SARS where she trained tax assessors while further developing her presentation and communication skills. This training provided her with a solid foundation to understand and apply the practice of good corporate governance.

Tayfield moved on to Anglo American Property Services in 1998 where she climbed the ranks to become Group Financial Director (with ICT as part of her management portfolio). The company managed properties on behalf of owners, exposing her to the field of outsourcing. She helped steer the company through three stages of unbundling, gaining further experience with mergers and acquisitions and the constant change of legislation that needed to be considered.

 
Biography: Frans Van Zyl - Information Technology & Systems Director - B.Comm (Hons) CA
After matriculating at Kempton Park High in 1986, Frans completed B.Comm and BComm (Hons) degrees in accounting at Rand Afrikaans University, before obtaining his CA (SA) in 1991. During his time as a senior manager with leading auditing firm Coopers & Lybrand, Frans worked in South Africa, as well as on secondment in Europe and the Middle East. He also, during this period, completed international qualifications as a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a Chartered Management Accountant. After a number of years as Financial Director of well known IT training and consulting firm Van Zyl & Pritchard, Frans joined Praxima in May 2000.

 

 

Biography : Mluleki Majola Royal Bafokeng Holdings
Mluleki started his career with a stint at the Hancock Sawyer Corporation in Australia as a Rotary International Youth Exchange Student. Upon his return to South Africa, he completed his studies at the University of Cape Town (UCT) and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Mluleki notched up further qualifications, including Accounting Professional Training in Financial Management and the Top Assessor course from the South African Institute of Charted Accountants (SAICA).

A broad range of experience was gained with tenures at Grant Thornton, Kessell Feinstein, Eskom, Caltex and SA Breweries before Mluleki joined Royal Bafokeng Holdings as the company's investment manager in 2008.

Mluleki spends his spare time partaking in sport, going to the gym and reading.
