Praxima launches its commitment to Open Disclosure Foundation
Praxima Africa Payroll Systems (Pty) Ltd held its race day at Turffontein Race Course in Johannesburg on 13 January 2007, officially launching its commitment to the Open Disclosure Foundation, a non-profit organisation that endeavours to aid youth victims and survivors of sexual violence and abuse.

Sponsoring the afternoon's racing, Praxima invited staff, customers, media, other guests and sponsors to attend an afternoon of entertainment, supporting the Foundation through the donation of proceeds.

Guests were treated to the best of Turffontein's hospitality - the Centenary Room - which featured a panoramic view of the racecourse and Johannesburg's skyline. Everyone was greeted with welcome drinks and soon afterwards the excitement of the racing began.

A sumptuous feast was enjoyed whilst racing greenhorns and enthusiasts alike placed their bets. Claimed novice, Kathy Gibson, was on a lucky streak and won money on more than one race.

The heightened excitement was reflected in a storm that had been brewing in the afternoon and even though the racing was stopped, everyone felt like they had gained something from the day. This was particularly true for the Open Disclosure Foundation. The organisation, represented by its founder, Andile Carelse (nee Gaelesiwe), was the real winner of the day.
